Why bad things happen to Good People…

 

There is a general perception with everyone that he/she does good to people but they face bad things in lives.
In the current times- there is a lot of strain within personal relationships [families], The thing I am going to mention here should be taken into account with both pros and cons if we want to bring balance into our relationships and lives.
 
This question may often cross our minds that we say and do good to people but bad things have happened in our life :- I would like to share a story to answer the same
 
There were two well known sages- 1-Sage Vashisht and 2- Sage Vishwamitra
 
The people of the times had given Sage Vishwamitra the title of Raj Rishi and Sage Vashisht was given a higher up title of Brahma Rishi.
It pained Sage Vishwamitra that he was bestowed with a lower title than Sage Vashisht and why he was not given the title of Brahma Rishi.
This thought kept on troubling him for long and took the form of jealousy. A time came such that he pondered on finishing off Sage Vashisht and thereby upgrading himself with the title of Bramha Rishi. He concluded in his mind that this seemed to be the most simple and obvious solution to his concern. 
Sage Vishwamitra also started to bad mouth and criticize Sage Vashisht in front of their followers and people in general. Then one night Sage Vishwamitra took a sword , went and hid himself behind the bushes around Sage Vashisht’s ashram with an intent to behead him at the first available opportunity.
 
While behind the bushes, Sage Vishwamitra overheard Sage Vashisht speaking to his pupils. One of the pupils asked Sage Vashisht a question that “What was his opinion on the Raj Rishi-Sage Vishwamitra ? ” 
To this Sage Vashisht became speechless and tears started rolling down his eyes. Controlling his emotions he replied to his pupils – “If you want to learn what the embodiment of true love and compassion in human form looks like, you should look upto Sage Vishwamitra. Sage Vishwamitra is so full of love and empathy towards me and people around him that he is like the moonlight spreading across the sky on a dark night.”
 
The sword fell from the hands of Sage Vishwamitra when he overheard the words of praise coming out of the mouth of Sage Vashisht. Sage Vishwamitra then came out of the bushes and fell onto the feet of Sage Vashisht. Sage Vashisht was taken aback with this gesture , but Sage Vishwamitra disclosed that he was hiding in the bushes with the intent of beheading him. However,when he overheard the faith , the love and praise for him that Sage Vashisht had in his heart , it melted him. On hearing his confession , Sage Vashisht picked Sage Vishwamitra up by his shoulder and hugged him tight.
Sage Vashisht proclaimed to Sage Vishwamitra ” You are the Brahma Rishi from now on”. Because the heart that is full of love , repentance , forgiveness and compassion , the owner of such a heart is the true –Brahma Rishi.
 
Coming back to the initial question- whenever there is strain in families, please make it a point that you do not bad mouth about him / her in their absence. But from what has been generally observed in families nowadays, if there are 4 members in a family, as soon as 1 member goes out, the remaining 3 start criticizing the absent member. And if 2 go out, the remaining 2 members start making unkind remarks about the absent members and this vicious cycle is repeated often.
 
But when you start to value the member not only in their presence but most importantly during their absence, you never bad mouth about them; then and only then the statement that “I say and do good for others” holds true meaning. In such a scenario it would never happen that bad should come upon you.
Once again we need to thoroughly introspect if any such thought of jealousy, belittling, doubting , complaining crosses our minds and are expressed in our actions in front of our near and dear ones.
 
If we can train our minds to be full of love and compassion for all, then the question of good / bad would never arise in your life. The thoughts and advice I am sharing here is not just for the sake of speaking but it is the outcome of my life experiences. I would suggest if we can introspect and can spend only 20 minutes with ourselves at our homes / any place of worship in utter silence then the seeds of compassion ,empathy and love towards all would germinate and fructify in your hearts.
If this can be achieved through meditation, the question of good / bad in our lives can be put to rest.

How to be an effective ORATOR,PRESENTER…

 

This make believe world that we today live in is forever evolving and as rightly said -“Change is the only thing permanent in this Universe.” The best time to change is before we are asked / forced to change by the unpredictable circumstances.
Everybody from all walks of life wants to be successful in professional and personal spheres of their lives.
The mantra to achieve this has below mentioned 3 focal points and the blend of these can make you a performance driven individual and the owner of a magnetic personality.
 
1-INVOLVEMENT– This quality of getting physically, emotionally and mentally involved in the assignments / tasks at hand can be cultivated by thorough discipline of avoiding distractions. The person who does not procrastinate meaning does not keep things pending to be done on a later date has higher chances of being successful at whatever they attempt in LIFE.
 
2-VITALITY– We all want to be like that person in our group / the mentor we look up whose core is energetic and who is always raring to go at the drop of a hat. Such a person is always excited about life,is ready to handle any challenge with his never say die attitude. The secret to being energetic is that even though there can be dull days as well when we do not want to do / attend to things that are necessary and cannot be delayed. But through sheer discipline which should be an integral part of our personalities,we would be able to bounce back on our bad days ; be a live wire [always energetic] and our achievements would be the source of inspiration to the family & society at large.
 
3-LISTENING– It is said that the best form of flattery is our enthusiastically listening to a person without interrupting him/her.This subtle quality is the anchor to the entire data analytics and output mechanism as every situation / task requires a two way communication. Every great leader / successful personality of his times has been a avid listener.
This trait is of absolute importance in the current age as everybody is highly impatient to put forth his / her point of view irrespective of the fact that the same may be right / wrong.
 
On a lighter vein – just like students start answering a question before reading it entirely / understanding the crux of it for reaching to the solution. Hence, our emphasis should always be to give a patient ear to the speaker [input], give time to our mind [processor] to analyze and then communicate back with a befitting reply.
Hence, the amalgamation of the above qualities with persistent and patient practice can make you a go-getter and enable you to lead a contended LIFE. 

How to become Powerful through SILENCE

 

Through my personal experience i would like to share that the the best way to succeed / to accumulate strength is through the route of  “Silence”. Whatever i have achieved in LIFE has been by walking on this path of being silent. Silence… because as soon as you become silent,close to 80% of your energy stops going outside.
 
There is a general misconception that most of our energy loss is due to intercourse and now science has also proven this that comparatively more energy is consumed during talking than during intercourse. If we want to follow celibacy [Brahmacharya] to control our self then i suggest it’s better to control our conversing. Speak less, limit your conversations to bare minimum[telegraphic]…reach the stage of “Partial Silence” and then gradually reach “Complete Silence”[temporary].
 
At Genius Temple,we do a seminar from morning 7am to evening 7pm of 12 hrs with around approx 50 people with me. So,during the course of the day the entire team practices to not speak anything and i as the facilitator speak only the instructions / techniques of how to proceed.Hence,at the end of the seminar the attendees feel bloated with energy . I say to them that it is not me but they themselves who have generated the energy and accumulated it throughout the day. I assist them with the realization that they had started the day as empty vessels,generated energy internally,were with themselves meditating in silence the whole day. All were doing this with full consciousness without connecting with others in the room and eventually in the evening their inside became full of overbearing energy.
 
 I would like to suggest you to come and join us for such seminars maybe of 1 or 3 or 5 days as per your convenience. During the seminar of 5 days,all the 50 of us together remain in utmost silence .Its better to attempt this with a group for better enjoyment and for training our minds. I would also intentionally mention here that the best possible place for mediation is inside our homes and not any of the ashrams / gurusthaan / caves of Himalayas / pilgrim centers of this world.
 
Choose any convenient corner of your home and start practicing. So take training here like a school to go deeper into meditation at your home, i have only facilitated the know-how / procedure to do the same. So,from now on start towards finding yourself , finding “Silence” in chaos. Because the Creator himself is the best example of Silence as nobody ever has been able to listen to the Almighty’s voice. We have to be one with the Creator and for that the medium is “SILENCE”
 

How to stop thoughts during meditation…

 

The coming of thoughts during meditation is as natural as our breathing.In the same way that we cannot stop breathing,we cannot stop thoughts from popping up during meditation. If you want to stop breathing, gurus may suggest PRANAYAM but that cannot stop your breathing permanently. What is the natural pattern- inhalation and exhalation of life giving oxygen for us to survive. In the same way if we are actively alive,thoughts would keep getting generated and if there would be no thoughts,then the person would be living a vegetable existence because only humans have been designed to think.
Humans at all times create thoughts of good-bad,truth-lies etc..so the thought process would continue no end. Now i would suggest you to change your direction- from instead of blocking our thoughts,we should train our attention towards thoughts like- we are feeling fresh / healthy today,enjoy the beautiful morning,wonderful day,feel excited.Your focus should be on creation/sustenance of positive thoughts instead of working hard like innumerable other yogis on blocking of thoughts during meditation.Such an attempt of blocking thoughts is futile and an impossible feat since the thought of blocking itself gives initiation to further thoughts thereby a chain reaction happens.
I have never mentioned in my discourses / shared any technique that helps achieve blocking of thoughts. By practicing this activity of letting positive thoughts take over would allow you to distance yourself from the entire gamut of -mind,body,emotions,identity,ego etc. Simultaneously, you would become the observer of whatever feelings come and go,your body getting tired / feeling pain, you now no longer are the conscious mind / thought that keeps coming like a wave on the sea shore. You have to distance your consciousness from your thoughts in the same way for example- if i go a bit away from the room, the sound of people conversing would become feebler proportionally to my distance from the room and finally i would not be able to listen to any of the conversations. But that would not mean that people would have stopped chit chatting.
Also,in such a scenario that even if i ask a crowd to stay quiet / stop talking,they would all the more naturally be compelled to talk / make noise.
Thus,this meditation activity takes you away from your conscious mind,identity,emotions; creates a rift which is a bit difficult to understand but can be achieved by practice. This is exactly why I always first demonstrate the technique and only then later share the theory behind the same. I know that If I would have started with the theory,then people would have been prejudiced into thinking that it may be impossible to do.Now when we have practice,we come to understand that the feat is very interesting and achievable.
 
Yes,it does feel good if we are able to stem the flow but thoughts would naturally come and won’t stay down for a long interval. The concept is to stop oneself and not stop the thought flow because if we try to stop the thoughts,there would be a lot of friction internally.The end result should be that the entire process should be enjoyed.
 
I would request you to practice this technique with utmost concentration and zest.
If this is practiced regularly,it has remarkable results like I explained that it helps to distance yourself and become the Observer. In the same way like Lord Krishna in Bhagwad Gita-explained to Arjuna that you are different and are the observer. This stage of being the Observer happens to you like an incident. It does not happen if you keep thinking that i am seeing,i am seeing– because yet again it’s just another thought. This thing should happen to you like an incident during the practice of this technique in it’s entire totality…

Unleash the Power of Imagination !!!

 

The conversation between Lord Shiva and Goddess Devi is “Vigyan Bhairav Tantra”. We can be rest assured that there is nothing outside the 112 meditation techniques and Lord Shiva did not leave anything to chance while devising these techniques.
So whenever you would like to take up these techniques, the same has been broken down in small , light sub-techniques for easy understanding. But, firstly the understanding as to what exactly is Visualization and concept behind the techniques is mandatory.

What do we understand by Visualization- it means to see any thing in 3-Dimension. Currently we see in only one dimension, some see future, some see only in present, some live and see only the past events and take reference from them. The ideal way to live life in 3-Dimension and setting a balance within the dimensions is called Visualization.
I would further explain in simpler words for you- You may be a teacher, a lawyer, an engineer, a sage, a cricketer or a sportsperson, you cannot achieve any success without Visualization. I would like to share the procedure by an example from simple daily life parlance for your understanding as to what and how to Visualize. We usually do Visualization in our daily lives without even realizing. What we lack is the know-how and ideal direction of Visualization.

We all must have heard about the famous Australian cricketer- Mr.Ricky Ponting and during an interview he was asked as to what was his secret to success; to which he replied “Visualization”. The journalists were curious and asked him to elaborate as to how was his Visualization different from the rest of his peers / competitors. The clarification that Ricky Ponting gave as to why his Visualization was better is a learning for all of us. He said that generally when we Visualize , mostly negative things come to our mind like things catching fire / destruction / accidents / loss of life etc.. We usually Visualize or dream of such things only because we have a negative mindset / approach of fear.
Ricky Ponting mentions a noteworthy statement that -while batting whenever I look around the ground ; the normal strategy that other batsmen employ is to hit the ball away from / between the fielders for scoring. Usually the batsmen watch the placement of fielders and plan to hit the ball into spaces where fielders are not placed.
But whenever I Visualize, I approach through a different method of not watching the fielder placements but only Visualizing the open spaces/gaps between the fielders. Those gaps / spaces are my targets of hitting. Now to think of it that only with a small tweaking in his Visualization[Imagination], Ricky Ponting has achieved this much success. He says I don’t Visualize where not to hit but only and only where to hit [positive approach].So, hereby, first and foremost we need to understand that whenever we Visualize, we should only imagine positive / good thoughts.
And the second step in Visualization is to understand that we should not directly straightaway Visualize our Success. There are a lot of self-help courses and material available at Institutes / via internet which aim to teach that nothing is impossible ; seek and you shall find ; think and you shall achieve.
They preach things like -If you can think that somebody somewhere is signing a 25 lakh cheque just for you-think, think and he/she would be signing that cheque. Gullible people / students get befooled by such gimmicks / shortcuts and start promoting such techniques as well.No one must have benefited from such techniques but they nonetheless start marketing by word of mouth as if it were a sure shot potion for immediate success. I personally have come across many such books and some students of mine have come up to me and praised such books as being remarkably effective and that I should read them. The books / courses aim to teach the simple technique – that only and only if one can repeatedly imagine / think / ask with closed eyes , one shall achieve / receive and that there is immense power in your Desire.

Now, since I am trying to suggest the ideal procedure of Visualization- I would like to mention 2 things here ; one that Visualization is a bit tough to learn and practice. It’s easy to learn words / logic but difficult to learn Visualization because in our entire education system the biggest flaw is that we are never trained to Visualize. I would tell you a very interesting fact that during our schooling- the textbooks of Nursery class had big colorful pictures representing everything and the kids seem to be very happy. As the kid progresses to higher standard, the pictures in textbooks become smaller and words become bigger. Thereafter the entire focus shifts from pictures to words/sentences and 2nd standard onward we find that pictures are available only as Black & White diagrams , entirely devoid of colors.
Hence, I find this methodology opposite to Visualization as Visualization incorporates imagining with colors. Visualization means-whatever you see with your eyes, it goes inside as a colorful image and whatever you imagined inside, you project it outside as a colorful image. If we try to understand this deeply, it is remarkable and magical in reality.
But I would like to reiterate that it should never be misconstrued as if we Visualize with closed eyes the construction of a building and by the mere imagination / planning of the same, the building gets constructed one fine day- it does not work this way. The ideal way of Visualization is – the construction of the building being your dream / goal, you should Visualize the process of the construction. Try and understand the meaning when I say that -Whatever you would want to achieve / want to be successful in LIFE, you should Visualize the process of achieving that SUCCESS.

Live your life with the grace of God

Do you really want to live your life with the grace of God (existence) or you really want to give certain manner to your life. 
If you are giving manner to your life, that’s actually you are going to decide various things in your life but really I must tell you if you feel the role of existence in your life. The existence of playing a great role.
Existence gives you many things and it snatches something. It takes away some things from you and you see that whenever existence gives you something, it vacates your hands, because you are always having something in your hands. So, before giving something great to your hands, it has to snatch something which is already there in your hands. But you are always worried and you are always miserable for the things what you have lost but actually, the things what you are getting, you can’t see. And you are somewhere cling to the lost things. 
You are identified with those things which are in your hands but you know, if you are not going to leave those things which are in your hands, how can you get the new things in your hands? Existence is simply playing a superb, marvelous role of Father or Mother. 

That’s why I am using this parable:-

A boy and his father were sitting on the chair in a garden and father said to his boy: “can you move that Rock in front of me?”. There is a big rock.
Son said to his father: “are you joking, that is a very heavy Rock. I can’t move that rock.” 
Father said: ” No go and try to move that rock.” Son tried but it was really very difficult to move that rock because the rock was very heavy. 

Then the father said: “try your level best to move that rock.”
And the boy really tried his level best to move that rock but he was not capable of moving that because the rock was very heavy. Very hard he tried, tried and tried, at last, he got to fail.

Son said: ” I kept my all energy, I put my all energy, I can’t ….., no I can’t move this Rock”.

Father said: “no you have not used your all strength.”

Son said, ” no father, I have used all my strength .”

Father said: “no, no…., you haven’t used your all strength.” 

He replied: ” how can you say, I tried, I tried a hundred percent”.

 Father said: “no, no…., yet you have not asked me to help you, I am also your strength”.

         So you know the Existence is the strength.  Existence is not there to snatch things from you or to give you suffering or to give you miseries.  Existence is there to give you the other classes like you are in the 2nd class then the existence is there to promote you for the 3rd class, for the 4th class and whole life is simple, you can say the way of promotion and the master or the teacher is existence.

        So believe in the existence, just see that you have lived a long life and in this life, you have seen that various things happened and these things are just there to promote you from life to lives.
